caiden has his daddy’s lips, and his mommy’s hair. his arrival was highly anticipated, and you can see just how loved he is. I still remember very vividly becoming a mom for the first time. spending time touching each little wrinkle and kissing cheeks thousands of times. there is something about a first child. something so special and unique. so it’s always wonderful capturing the moments between a brand new family of three.
shannan and kacy | lake tahoe wedding photographer
just a small taste of what’s to come. still uploading the images, but couldn’t resist a few details and one of the stunning bride. more to come later!
dominic | los angeles/orange county newborn photographer
dominic is a miracle. all babies are miracles, but dominic’s parents tried for a very, very long time for him. and so his birth, his existence – is a miracle. and I really love miracles, which is why I had so much fun photographing dominic and his head-over-heels in love mommy and daddy. enjoy!
emery | orange county children’s photographer
Emery is the sweet daughter of Shelley and Danny Lemaire. The talent behind Lemaire Photo. Portrait and wedding photographers based out of Reno, Nevada. So I was so extremely stoked when Shelley asked me to photograph her youngest (and only daughter) Emery. Emery reminds me so much of my own daughter Olivia, that I couldn’t help but laugh at her when she scowled at me and gave me her pouty lip! Plus, who wouldn’t just ooze over those curls! Although I definitely had to work for my smiles (as you can see, a phone call with Daddy did the trick!!!), the images were worth every sweat-induced moment
happy couple – los angeles/orange county wedding photographer
I was invited to improve my skills by helping Christie Mumm of JLM Creative Photography photograph a beautiful Lake Tahoe wedding on July 4th of 2009. What an awesome opportunity to watch a seasoned wedding photographer shoot a wedding – but also to get my camera out and really focus on the creativity and technique required to photograph a wedding (as you’ll notice, I used my fisheye a lot!). I’m not exactly sure why it’s taken me so long to upload these, but I thought I’d share just a few of my favorites from the day. Enjoy!

March Special – BOUDOIR SESSIONS

This past year, I’ve been swamped with boudoir sessions. I’ve photographed almost-married-brides who are planning to surprise their grooms on their wedding night with a nice album of themselves. I’ve done women who are looking to remember their bodies before embarking on the journey of motherhood. I’ve done them as anniversary gifts or “just because” someone wants to feel gorgeous. And I have to admit. You will feel gorgeous. Boudoir sessions are easy going, relaxed, and a lot of fun. Even more fun than the experience itself (which I PROMISE is a total blast!), is the final product. Photographs that speak of femininity, intimacy, and beauty. This is the reason I’ve decided to run boudoir sessions as my March special. If you’ve ever wanted them done, or have never thought to have them done, but are curious to know more….now is the time to contact me! Here’s the deal:
$450 session includes: 2 hour session at your home. Professional makeup by a fantastic makeup artist done on site. Unlimited clothing changes and a CD of 30 jaw-dropping images.
50% is due to secure your date, and the final 50% is due the day of your session. Daytime is best – and I’m available weekends and weekdays (excluding 3/6-3/11). Session times are limited and booked on a first come, first serve basis. If you’re interested or would like to see my boudoir portfolio, please email me at contact@melissavossler.com and mention the March special. Looking forward to meeting you!

coming soon – los angeles/orange county portrait photographer
Coming soon to a blog near you……Nine sneak peeks…some of them overdue by weeks! I’ve had so much on my plate these past few weeks as I prepare for our move to Newport Beach. Sneak peeks are something I try to offer all of my clients…regardless of how busy I am. I know I would be dying if I have to wait a week or two to see photos of my family….so I post them as a way to get my clients super excited about what’s to come. I think I give too much of a sneak peek though. And although most people think more is better….my schedule says otherwise. So from now on, I’ll be posting a sneak peek of about 2 or 3 photos from our session, and once all the session images have been delivered to my client….I’ll come back and post more from the session. There is something to be said about mystery
(plus, it will keep me from getting backlogged like this!!!)
